Breaking the Chains
Confronting Addiction with Hope and Healing
Breaking the chains of Addiction. Addiction has become one of the most devastating tools the enemy uses to destroy lives in our generation. It knows no boundaries—affecting people across all age groups, social classes, and regions. Whether in urban centers or rural communities, the struggle is real, and the impact is undeniable.
Among the various forms of addiction, drug addiction stands out as a chronic and relapsing brain disease that affects millions globally. It is not merely a habit—it is a condition marked by compulsive substance use despite the obvious harm it causes to a person’s physical health, mental stability, relationships, and overall well-being.
The Spiritual and Physical Battle
Addiction is not solely a physical or psychological issue. It also has a spiritual dimension. The Apostle Paul captures this tension in Galatians 5:16:
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”
Here, we see a call to submit our lives to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. While addiction can be classified as a disease from a medical standpoint, its spiritual root must not be overlooked. Many are caught in cycles of addiction because of deep emotional wounds, generational bondage, and spiritual oppression. But the good news is this: Jesus Christ still sets captives free.
Our Mandate: Reaching the Bound and Broken
By the grace of God, many of us have experienced firsthand the deliverance and healing power of Jesus. He brought us out of darkness—out of addiction—and gave us a new story. That is why we are not silent. The Lord has commissioned us to carry this message of hope to others. Through Addiction Conferences in villages, towns, cities, and schools, we not only teach God’s Word but also share our personal testimonies—stories of transformation, struggle, and breakthrough.
These conferences are more than events; they are encounters with truth, where youth and adults alike are confronted with the reality of addiction and invited into the freedom that Christ offers. We believe that healing begins when people realize they are not alone—and that there is a path forward, paved by grace, support, and truth.
